Tackling The Trench Coat For Spring 2020

There are certain pieces you want in your closet no matter the season, and one of them is without a doubt a TRENCH COAT. It has recently made its way back on the trend wagon and I’ve managed to find a few that I’m very excited to style.

Like many others I’m sure, I’m always on the lookout for staple pieces and for me a good trench coat is at the top of the list. I feel like I find one in every thrift store I go to, sometimes multiple, so I highly recommend buying secondhand if you can.

If you’re not into getting your hands dirty, Beth Jones from B Jones Style recently shared that she found her dream coat on Ebay! And if you haven’t seen Beth’s recent post about TRENCHES you can check that out here.

I thrifted both of these coats for under $50 each, dry-cleaning included, which isn’t bad for something as timeless as a trench. The Rudco trench is very much a standard coat and although the Linea trench isn’t vintage, it’s a rich brown color that is so yummy! It’s also perfectly oversized which is exactly what I want in a trench this season.

When it comes to styling a trench coat you can keep it simple, with a pair of your favorite jeans and a vintage tee, or you can get creative with layering and color combinations. Personally, I like to style the same item differently each time to keep things interesting and to get the most use out of it as possible. Whatever your preference, just have fun with it!

When You’re In A Jam: Consider pairing that cool new trench you just thrifted with that awesome vintage belt you always forget you have. You will not regret it.
