I don’t know about you guys, but LA is much cooler and gloomier than what’s “normal” for this time of year, and I can confidently say that with the lack of sunshine paired with “shelter-in-place” I am NOT getting my daily recommended dose of vitamin D. Thankfully I was able to restock on vitamins, but I digress.
Thankfully, the past few days have been warm enough to warrant wearing shorts for a few hours a day at least – just enough to soak up rays on an afternoon stroll or sunbath on the balcony.
And no, I am not referring to denim cut-offs. The fashion gods have blessed us with a new “it-girl” short to go nuts over. The denim cut-offs’ comfortable yet chic distant cousin – the bermuda short.
This trend can be found in many a Spring 2020 collection such as Chloe, Holzweiler, and Givenchy – to name a few of my favorites. And if there is anything that we’re learning from the abundance of inspiration it’s that you can have fun and still take your style very seriously.
The images I’ve included here are just a few of the ways I’m inspired to style with knees in the breeze, but you can check out my Pinterest, linked in the header at the top of this page, for MORE inspiration saved daily.
When you're in a jam: If you don't have a pair of knee length shorts in your wardrobe currently, then perhaps you may want to consider chopping a pair of jeans or slacks you never wear anymore. You will want to hem the latter for a cleaner look, but feel free to let your denim fray-all-day.
